I need some ideas for new books to read to Hazel. She's getting bored of the ones we have. What are some of your kids' favorites??

Look at my post from Wed., Aug. 29. Those are some of Max's favorites. The book, "How Big is a Pig?" also comes in Spanish, "Cerdota Grandota"...Tom might like reading that to Hazel. Max also loves the little finger puppet books that we have from PBK, like "Little Lamb", "Little Duck". Those are really cute, too.

I love "Rainbow Fish"- it comes in different sizes as well as in bath book form. Check out this blog from a former teacher- she's always reviewing new kids' books.

Alisa, I don't know how Hazel is but Weston loves loves loves books, did I mention that he loves books? Even when he was Hazels age (which was not that long ago).. I can give you some titles of some books but really my secret is I get all my books at Ross Dress for Less. They have so many wonderful board books and books for little ones so much cheaper than anywhere else. I usually stock up everytime I go there. Also, try getting books that Hazel can interact with, I am sure you do this already, but Weston started at Hazel's age loving the "flap books", any book that has flaps is so much fun and there are some really cute ones. Anyway, enough of my typing on and on...but really the place is Ross's! Good luck!

Also, a lot of my friends say their little ones like the author Sandra Bouton....Weston has never really gotten into her books.

Courtney, what are some of Weston's favorite flap books? We have one flap book and she does really like it! Thanks for the info about Ross- I love that place but I've never checked out the books before so that'll be great! Thanks! :)

Dax likes any books with animals! He loves the animal sounds. He also likes books that have something that he can touch or that pokes out, or a book that makes noises. good-luck!
