Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to my sweet husband! Tom has been more incredible of a dad than even I could have imagined. And I always knew he would be amazing. He's always had such a love for children and a way of being able to connect with them. But I never anticipated how much deeper that could go with our own child. I know sometimes it's hard to think that your way as a mom isn't always the best way, and I give Tom a hard time a lot about doing things my way when it comes to Hazel. But as time goes on, I find that I need to keep my mouth shut and I should be listening to him and doing things his way more often. Tom has an ability to sense what's right for our child, no matter what the books say or what our family or the doctor tells us is right. He trusts his instincts, and they're usually right. He doesn't stress about every little thing, rather he just enjoys every minute of being a dad, of being with Hazel. And she loves him in a sweeter way than anyone else. Every time she sees him she gets huge smiles, and he is the only one that can make her laugh by just smiling at her. He laughs, she laughs. It's like she knows that when it's with dad, it's all about the fun; it's all about loving being together. I've never seen anyone love their child as much as Tom loves Hazel. He cracks up at every little thing she does, he is patient with her, and he would take being with her over doing anything else in the world. He is so dedicated as a father- he even gets up on the weekends with her (all night both nights) and never complains even though that's his only time to sleep in each week. I am more and more grateful each day that I married Tom, a man who surpasses the highest expectations of a good father. I wouldn't want any other man to be the father of my children, to teach them and to show them the way of this life. If my children grow up to be the person that Tom is I would be a success as a parent and be honored to be their mom. People don't get any better than him. I love you more than words or this weak description can show Tom. Thanks for being my husband, my best friend, and the most solid and loving father to our baby girl. We are both so lucky to have you.
