O Christmas Tree
After a crazy week, we finally found time to go get our tree. Tom and I are both big on real christmas trees...there's nothing like going to a real tree lot, the smell of fresh pine in your living room and, well, the whole "chevy chase christmas vacation" experience. (:So, with this in mind, we packed in the car with the kids, ate pizza on the way, ran around the tree lot until my ears about fell off from the cold (the kids loved being there), loaded the perfect tree on our car and went home to set up our Christmas. It was heavenly decorating the tree with Christmas music on, cute kids in jammies who were sooo excited about every little thing, and ending the night with the ultimate christmas treat: Romney brownies topped with peppermint ice cream and homemade chocolate sauce. Um, YUM! The whole night was yum!!
At the lot, the kids ran and ran and ran and ran...

Dad was so relieved to have 2 little helpers with the lights...
Hazel was the first to put a "badge" on the tree, as she called it...
Then Drew followed...
She also reminded us that it's not a Christmas tree without a star, so we let her be the one to put it on...
Can you tell she was having fun?? She even talked in a super high voice to Drew all night (oh sure drewby! good job little buddy!)... she was in such a good mood!
The finished product:
The cherry on top!
Have I mentioned that I love everything about Christmas?!?
