back in the game...

I can't believe it's been 3 months since my last post! With 2 active toddlers who constantly want to be at mom's side and a husband who likes to hang out once the cling-on's are finally asleep, it's been remarkably hard to find even 5 minutes in my day to blog. So I was starting to give up on this whole idea, at least for now. But then today I was talking to my cute friend Maere about this and we started discussing all the benefits of a blog. Having a journal and a scrapbook combined into one book that we could hand down to our kids and their kids and their kids with insights into our daily lives, our trials, our joys, and the lessons we learned, could be such a treasure to our heritage. This made me realize that I need to make time for this blog, so I can print it out and it can be something that my family will enjoy, hopefully for years to come. Or maybe just I will enjoy it, when I look back on my life. But either way, I think it'd be worth it.

So here I am.
And I am overwhelmed at the idea of catching up.
So instead, I'm going to start from now and worry about the rest later.

Tonight Hazel's been especially needy. In the car on our way home from the gym, she would not stop crying. When I asked her what was wrong she said, "I want mommy!".
I was right there in front of her. But she wanted all of my attention. These moments are happening a lot lately and it can be so exhausting to be needed every second. But then I just have to keep reminding myself that one day, when she's embarrassed to be seen with me in front of her friends, I'm going to wish I had these moments back...
I.love.this.girl. Exhausting days and all. (:

And then there's these guys...
Life is good.

That's how I feel - that my blog is more for me than for anyone else. It's nice to share and all but I like having a record for my sake.

And I'm glad you're back in the game! I love seeing your kiddos.

I love your cute family. I love that you see my sister Kathryn and my brother Jon cleaned your garbage cans. It helps me feel like I'm still part of your life in some weird way :)
I love you.
