Cabin Fever

Ok, so being stuck inside during a cold and long winter is especially hard when you have 2 energetic little rascals to entertain. So you can imagine all of our delight when we woke up to fresh snow yesterday morning...and warmth!! It was the perfect day. The kids were in h.e.a.v.e.n. We stayed out all morning and no one complained of being too cold. And the fluffy snow made it so fun for them to get their wiggles out. Hazel was jumping, running and strangely enough, crawling through the snow.
Oh, and eating it...a lot.
Drew was thrilled to just be outside. Just to walk freely (even though he could barely walk in all his gear...he looked like an oompa-loompa).
We were even able to sled down our driveway and front lawn. Hazel was determined to pull Drew in the sled even though I repeatedly told her it wouldn't work on the sidewalk where there was no snow. She still tried. Drew wished she hadn't.
Hazel saw these, really examined them closely, then said, "look mom! I found magic blueberries!"Dumb & Dumber frozen snot anyone?? (look closely)Thanks weather for giving us a much needed break from our days inside!
