We're baaaack...

After a long summer, we are FINALLY moved into our new house! What was supposed to be a 2 week remodel turned into a 3 month (!!) remodel...yeah as it turns out,

an OLD house+5 years of FRAT house= BAD SHAPE.

But we are loving it now are so happy that we took the time to really get it how we want it. I need to give a gigantic shout out to the people who got us here by helping work on the house or taking the kids so we could. You know who you are and we thank you a million times over!! We would most definitely not be here without you!
And an especially big thank you to my incredibly talented, giving and selfless DAD who voluntarily sacrificed so much of his time and energy to turn this joke of a house into a beautiful home. And all those loooong days and nights he spent building, fixing, teaching, mastering, he did solely for us. Just to make me and my little family happy, safe and taken care of. He is a one-in-a-million kind of dad and I'm sooooo glad he's mine!!
Also, thanks to Blake for doing the majority of the work this summer and to him and Scott for helping us move... Blake even left his friends during a U football game and stayed out until 1am with Tom & I so we could get everything moved while we had the trailor. What a guy.

It sounds like I'm giving an award acceptance speech, doesn't it?! Alright, I'm done thanking people. But I've just been so grateful for our family during all this. Love you all.

Ok, so during all this craziness, we lived at the Koplin's and we had a blast! They were so patient having us there for so long, they were unbelievable in helping & playing with the kids and we loved having all that extra time to hang out with them. Our summer days were spent...
getting lots of time with Grandma & Grandpa K,
playing outside all day
with friends,
riding bikes,
eating popsicles & getting dirt in every crack of the skin.
We spent lots and lots of time telling Hazel to STOP feeding Marley
and both kids to STOP bugging Grandpa while he works!
We played with friends at the park
and at birthday parties.
We found ways to entertain ourselves by going to Target,
(where Hazel had to bring every last thing on the shelves with her on the tricycle as we went through the store, and of course, safety first)
giving Drew the ride of his life,
(he looks thrilled, doesn't he?!)
going swimming,
and hanging out in buckets.
We loved playing in Grandma & Grandpa's awesome backyard
putting toes in the stream,
picking vegetables with Grandpa
and eating every last one...
Our kids adored every minute at the Koplin's and ask me all the time when we're going back. Thank you Rick, Char & Linsey for helping us-and our kids- survive & have fun this summer!!

So we are now settling in to our new little life here and trying to get our house in order. Once we do, we will show you the before & after pics...which just may blow your mind. (: There is still a ton of catching up I need to do too (summer trips, the kids, etc.) and I will slowly be getting to that in small bits as I find time between changing diapers and unpacking boxes.

And even though remodeling is stressful and moving is a pain, at least someone found a way to enjoy it...
The rest of us, however, are sure glad it's over!

Hope you all had great summer's! We're so glad to be back... I've missed spying on all of you! (:
