our vacation- at home

So this past weekend Tom and I were thinking we needed a little break before we have 2 kids and it will be much harder to get tenders if we ever want to get away. We checked hotels, flights, etc. and nowhere seemed perfect. All I wanted to do was all adult things- movies, nice restaurants, sleeping in and even reading a book. Just everything you can't do with kids. Then it occured to us that we could just do all that at home and save some $. And our condo has a pool and hot tub so it would be like being at a hotel anyway. So we decided to let Hazel take a trip to her grandparents' houses and we stayed here to relax. It was so fun- we took advantage of the Dine-O-Round downtown [Tom's favorite thing] and ate at some nice restaurants, Tom indulged me in going to my favorite food places, we went night swimming, watched movies as LOUD as we wanted, went to a couple movies, went to the BYU game in Provo [go COUGS!!] and just relaxed at home- I even got to read which I haven't done in so long! And although I missed Hazel so much it hurt, it was so nice to escape real life for a couple days so thanks to Gpa & Gma Koplin and Gpa & Gma Dodds for giving us a much needed break before the storm! We are SO blessed to have you around! And thanks to Tom for always being my favorite person to hang out with!
