Mother's Day

We had a really nice Mother's Day. Tom gave me beautiful flowers and a really sweet card and a day at the spa. [He really earned some bonus points with that!] We celebrated at the Romney's with Tom's family and had dinner and homemade ice-cream and then went to celebrate with my mom by doing the one thing she wanted to do that day- buy the kids banana splits and let them go to town! She is too funny- even on Mother's Day it's still all about the kids! We then went to visit my dad and Char but she wasn't feeling well so we missed her that day, but she's feeling better now so prayers answered!
I am so grateful to my mom, my mother-in-law, and my step-mom for all they do for me and for the wonderful examples they give me as to how to be a good mom to my own little family. And I am above all so grateful to be a mom... I felt so much like a mom this year- chasing around a little toddler with a belly that reminded me there's more to come. It was like I was living the dream I'd been thinking about since I was 5 years old. Nothing could ever compare to the joy of motherhood and it was nice to be reminded of that even more so on this day. Happiness is family and that is made more clear to me every day.

Those are such adorable pictures of both Hazel and you. You are such a gorgeous mom. I love hearing your sentiments about being a mom. I hope when i am a mom, i love it just as much as you.
