MeMoRiaL DaY

We had a really nice Memorial Day this year. In the morning we went with my dad and Char to visit my Grandpa Koplin's grave and then went out to lunch after [thanks guys!]. We then headed up to Tom's aunt & uncle's in Bountiful and had their traditional swim & BBQ party, but because of the rain, we stayed inside for most of the night. So instead of swimming for the kids, David and Grace had put up a pinata to keep them entertained. Hazel went right up on her turn and tried as hard as she could- on her tiptoes- to poke the pinata. It was so cute how interested she was in doing it. And she spent the rest of the time trying to go up during everyone else's turns. Once it finally broke open though, she was really in heaven, trying to eat all the candy... with the wrappers still on (there's no time to wait for mom to unwrap them- too much to eat in so little time!!). The Romney grave visits were cancelled because of the rain so we just stayed longer with the Henderson's and enjoyed the night.
