Heartbreak Hotel

That's what it is at my house today. I am having Hazel 'cry it out' (yes, again...last time we didn't keep up on it). And it is shredding my heart to pieces. And the sweet little angel made it even harder when I went in her room to put her binki back in and she stopped her screaming, looked up at me with tears streaming down her face, and just gave me this huge smile. Even in the middle of what I assume she thinks to be torture, she still finds it in her little heart to give me a smile. And the thing is, it made it so much worse because then I couldn't believe I was making such a sweet little girlie cry so hard. Anyway, any other mothers who have gone through this?? I hear it's worth it in the end, but it feels impossible to endure right now.

Hazel in happier times...

You can do it, Alisa! I hear it's worth it, too! Just think, you're giving your little girl such a wonderful gift of self-reliance and independence (it starts early).

Ah, Alisa, its hard hard work to let them cry it out. I did it around the same time with Olivia and it took about 3 days and she's been a fantastic napper ever since. Its WORTH it!! Call me if you need to while she's crying, I always called Kit and he couldn't understand why I was crying harder then she was. LOL.
