Our super fun vacay
Last week Tom had a conference in Vegas, so the kids and I, and my sister in law Eliza, decided to tag along. I was nervous about it to be honest...chilly weather with 2 kids stuck in a hotel room all day...didn't sound fun to me. But to my surprise, it turned out to be one of my favorite trips so far. It was so relaxed, the weather was just warm enough to swim, Hazel LOVED the pool & hot-tub, Liza was so much fun to hang out with while Tom was at the conference every day, the hotel was really nice, the kids slept perfectly- even taking naps at the same time- and even all the eating out was not as big of a hassle as I expected with the ninos. And to top it all off, Tom won $200 on the penny slot machines! Who knew that was even possible?? We also got to hang out with Tom's parents the last couple days and they took the kids one night so we could go to a night club Tom had passes to. Yeah, a Las Vegas nightclub. We drank our shirley-temples, watched some seriously awesome old dude dance and got a great view from on top of Ceasars Palace. And the kids weren't missing out on any fun either...Hazel spent the night playing hide and seek with Grandpa Scott and Drew got Grandma Vicki snuggles all to himself. This is one trip I can honestly say we loved every minute of!
Now I keep begging Tom to go on another trip before Drew gets into a crib and the sleeping thing becomes a hassle again [right now with Hazel in a bed, she can just sleep with us, and Drew is still in the phase where he can sleep anywhere, so it turned out to be the perfect ages to go on a trip with the kids]. Anyway, this trip was just the break I needed so thanks to Ameritrade for having a conference!!

How fun is that! I just said to Erik tonight - man we should go somewhere. . . lucky you! Miss you. Your kids are DARLING!
