3 Months!

Our little Hazel is 3 months old today! It's amazing how fast time flies...even though in the beginning you think those long nights will last forever. This has been the happiest time of our lives these past 3 months and I can't imagine how life was ever good before Hazel came. I thought I'd copy what I've seen some other people do and write some things about Hazel and what she's like at 3 months for her to read later...

1. You LOVE to lie on your back and kick around- every morning you run a mini marathon on your changing table. Your arms and legs go CRAZY and you get so happy. There's no way you'll ever get fat on those little legs with this much exercise every day! Nothing in the world makes mom and dad laugh harder than watching you do this.
2. You talk to your little 'friends' on your mobile and your swing and get a huge smile when you see them.
3. You love when mom sings 'Little Bunny Frou Frou'
4. You love when we blow in your face, stick out our tongue, and make squeaky noises when we kiss you.
5. You HATE the car...you scream inconsolably when we drive around (opposite of every other kid) and therefore mom spends a lot of time at home! :)
6. You love to stretch...dad doesn't think he's ever seen a baby stretch as much as you. Your arms are constantly stretched straight out- usually just one at a time.
7. You love when dad comes home...huge smiles!
8. You LOVE being naked! (preferably no diaper, but we've soaked one too many changing pads to keep doing that!)
9. When we hold you in the air, you stick your legs out and your body is straight as a board...our own little 'super baby'.
10. You are starting to talk to us and we love having conversations with you. Your voice is so beautiful...even if it is just a coo or a squeal!
11. Your head is really strong and you are starting to be ok with sitting up if we prop you with pillows or hold your arms. But not quite ready to sit on your own yet!
12. You hate tummy time- so don't blame us if you don't crawl until you are 2.
13. You have very expressive eyebrows and wiggle them around when you smile or are concerned. When you get really excited, your eyes squint, your eyebrows go in triangles and you look just like Grandma Tippets...so cute!
14. You have rabbit feet...long and very narrow!
15. You love to grab onto mom's shirt while you fall asleep.
16. You get a total puppy lower lip when you are about to cry...it breaks my heart into a million pieces.
17. You love taking a bath.
18. For some reason, you find it hilarious when I chew ice...every time I crunch down you giggle.
19. You are starting to drool all the time now...lovely...
20. You've recently discovered your hands and are always hooking them together- like you're saying a little prayer. You also love to suck on your hands...or anything you can get in your mouth!

Most of all, you are full of love and light and have brought the sweetest spirit into our every day. You are the joy of our life! Thanks for choosing us and coming to our family...we don't know what we'd ever do without you!
